Description: From a series of figure studies. This is an anonymous copy in reverse after the original by Frederik Bloemaert, in an ed. published by Frederick de Wit, c. 1670. Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Frederik Bloemaert' after 'Abraham Bloemaert'. Frederik Bloemaert (Utrecht ca. 1614-1690) was a Dutch printmaker and draftsman, son of Abraham Bloemaert. Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651) was a Dutch painter and etcher/engraver. He was one of the 'Haarlem Mannerists', but shifted towards a more Baroque style around 1600.
