Description: Source unknown, to be determined. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Thomas le Leu' after an anonymous artist. Thomas de Leu / Leleu / de Leeuw / Le Loup (Flemish; b. Antwerp; 1560-1612) was active in Paris from 1575 in the workshop of Jean Rahel. He married a daughter of Antoine Caron. He was influenced by the Wierix brothers and was considered one of the most important portrait engravers of his time.
