MacKenzie is often invited to play his bagpipes and holiday gatherings and he is delighted to do so. He always makes sure to wear his plaid clan scarf. To make MacKenzie, I adapted an antique postcard image and printed it on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. It's exacting work, but very satisfying. MacKenzie measures 3" x 3&1/2" and is enameled gold on the back and sides. This is a perfect ornament for a Scotland enthusiast or a dog or collie lover.
