This substantially sized basket is woven in Senegal using cattail stalks and thin strips of plastic. Each basket features a white background accented with silver dots. A new design in fall 2016, these oval baskets are checked by many hands for quality and will last for years to come.. Measures 29"L x 24"W x 11"T; size may vary slightly. Fair trade. Since 2008, Swahili has worked with Wolof weavers in remote Senegal to create baskets woven from salvaged plastic strips and cattail stalks.
