Nokan is one of the Japanese flutes. It is used by not only the noh play but also kabuki, yose bayashi ,and gion bayashi. Nohkan has a part called throat. Throat is located between mouthpiece and first finger hole. Because of it, the sounds which is a unique musical scale unlike Japanese various musical scales, not to mention a Western temperament, and an extremely high-pitched hishigi sound are provided. We recommend this to beginners to play Nohkan for the first time. Bamboo nohkan generally costs from tens of thousands ofyen to hundreds of thousands ofyen (nohkan is called the most expensive Japanese transverse flute). However this Nohkan is reasonable because it is made from resin. A case comes with it.
