DESCRIPTION
Vintage Trading Post Cooper Leaf and Gemstone Sterling Silver Charm Necklace This one-of-a-kind charm necklace was crated with an old solid copper clip on earring from Bell Trading Post, New Mexico, circa 1950. The back of the earring has been removed, but it is stamped with a bell hallmark and "solid copper." It also features a hand-crafted carnelian, turquoise and hill tribe fine silver charm and suspended on a 18" sterling silver chain. Bell Trading Post The old Bell Trading Post was located in Albuquerque, NM and was founded by Jack Michelson in 1935. They sold "Indian Jewelry" to tourist locations throughout the western U.S. The business was named "Bell" because Jack's wife Mildred maiden name was Bell. Later, gift ware & moccasin divisions were added to the existing Bell Jewelry division. In 1972, their name was changed to Sunbell Corp.
