This detailed wall map of Peoria County Illinois was published in 1861 by Matthews Crane & Co. It shows the old roads in the county and identifies each house and business by the owner's name. Of interest are the "spider web" of railroad lines that cross the center of the county. No doubt the Lincoln Coal mining company in the center of the map made good use of these lines. The reprint is made from the original on file at the Library of Congress. We have edited the original to improve the appearance. Great for genealogists and history lovers! Original size 51" x 54".
