This sweet angel in a red wool cape is thrilled to be sheltering her pet fawn. To make them, I adapted an image from a 1950s Christmas card and printed it on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. It's exacting work, but satisfying. The angel measures approximately 3&1/2" x 3" and has a gold enameled back and sides. She would make a perfect daughter or granddaughter gift or Sunday School gift and would add sweetness and color to a tree or wreath.
