This adorable little boy in his red pajamas is happily clutching more Cocker Spaniel puppies than he ever expected. To me he evokes a feeling of old-time Christmas joy and innocence, going back to the days when wishes did come true. I created him from a 1950s Christmas card image that I then printed on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, and cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. The sweet boy and puppies measures 3&1/2" x 4" and is enameled gold on the back and sides. It would make a perfect son ornament or gift for a Mid-Century Modern collector or dog lover.
