- SEED SOWING: Direct sow outdoors after danger of all frost. Germination temperature 70F-85F. Plant in hills of 2-3 plants per hill at 6' to 8' (1.8-2.4m) apart, and 1" (2.5cm) below soil surface. Germination is 7-14 days depending upon growing conditions.
