DESCRIPTION
ROCKET CANDYTUFT is a cool weather, fast growing plant that grows 10"-18" tall and will spread to about 6". It has small, shiny lance-shaped green leaves and produces slightly rounded, 4"-6" vertical clusters of fragrant white lavender tinged flowers from early spring into the summer. SOWING: Direct sow in the fall for the earliest blooms, or after the last spring frost for earlysummer blooms. Sow more seeds every several weeks, for continuous flowers. Though these plants do not respond well to transplanting, they can also be started indoors in peat pots; sow just below the surface of the soil, keeping it evenly moist and at a temperature of 65F - 70F. Germination usually occurs within 15 - 20 days. This plant grows well in poor or sandy soil. When transplanting, transplant entire peat pot with plant into the soil. Doing this will not disturb the roots, and the plants will take hold readily. THIS LISTING IS FOR A PACKET OF SEEDS
