White, bell-shaped flowers hover above the large foliage on scapes of 4' from early summer to mid-summer. It may take several years for the 'Humpback Whale' to reach maturity, but when it does, it produces impressive clumps of 2-3' in height and a spread of 6-8'. 'Humpback Whale' Hosta grows best when planted in loam or silt soil that is well-drained and in a location with afternoon shade. Part shade to full shade. Humpback Whale grows at at moderate rate.
