• 'Sagae' Hosta is one huge showy hosta and has received several awards over the years.  A few of the more recent awards include AHS Benedict Garden Performance Award Honorable Mention 2006, Award of Merit 2008, and Performance Medal 2010.  This outstanding specimen forms a large, upright, vase-shaped mound with powdery grey-green leaves edged with variations of creamy white streaks.
• Their thick, ovate, wavy leaves have great slug resistance.   Large, lavender flowers appear in early to mid-summer on scapes of 38-50 inches rising above the foliage mound.  Mature plant size produce impressive clumps 28" in height with a spread of 54".  Makes a great focal point in any shade garden!  'Sagae' Hosta does best when planted in moist, fertile, but well-drained soil in partial - full shade.  Hardiness zones 3-9.
