Goldens eat jackrabbits, marmots, and other small animals, but they also prey on livestock, coyotes and even bobcats. The golden eagle is the second fastest animal on earth. Hunting dives can exceed 200 miles per hour. A nesting pair reuses its old nests, adding more material each year. The largest recorded nest was 20 feet tall and 8_ feet wide.
